Tehran theater complex to be in operation for Nowruz

A newly-built Iranian theaterplex is set to host theatrical plays performed for Iranians and tourists during Persian New Year holidays in Iran.

Tehran Theaterplex managing director, Shahram Karami made the marks on Friday, adding that the complex will be home to several theatrical plays in various genres during the Nowruz holidays.  

In the last few months after the complex launch day, many theater enthusiasts warmly welcomed the plays brought to the stage at the theaterplex, Karami also said.

Performance spaces of the complex is hosting 6 plays which are slated to be performed till the end of the current Persian calendar year (ends on March 20, 2017).

The next Persian calendar year will start on March 21 and all Iranians attend Nowruz festivities during 13 days after the start of the Persian New Year.    

The recently inaugurated Iranian theaterplex is located in the eastern part of the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
